Room Inspections and Sign Offs

With Graduation next week and some of the Year 11s finishing up on the same day, we will need to schedule specific times for room inspection/sign off.

It is planned that Year 11 students on Farm will be first having their room signed off. Students who are driving will place all their belongings in their vehicle, have their room inspected, signed off and then they return to section until the end of the day.

Those awaiting collection from parents/guardians will place their belongings in a locked classroom, have their room signed off and return to section.

Trade students will start the same process after all Farm students are completed.

Departure and sign out procedures will be as normal and will commence from 2.00pm.

Christmas Gift Box Donations

Can we please continue to support the Christmas Box charity initiative. At this point in time we have received some support, but a very long way off where we have been in the past.

The donations don’t need to be large gifts, just new, little things that can go into a box for a child whose folks might be doing it tough at this time of year.

We had requested gifts to be donated by TOMORROW, 13th November but will be happy to take donations until next Friday 20th November. Thank you very much for your support.

Teenage Happiness and Wellbeing -From the School Nurse – Louise McDonald

Happiness is a state of mind or mood. Teenagers are usually happier when they are satisfied with their lives and relationships, although nobody is happy all the time. Wellbeing comes from physical, mental and emotional health.

It is also about understanding your emotions, taking part in different activities, having good relationships and social connections, finding meaning in life and feeling you’re doing well.

Whilst happiness and wellbeing are related, they are not the same thing and there are no clearly defined links between them. Teenagers can be happy because of some of the things that make up wellbeing, but they don’t need all these things to make them happy.

Healthy Lifestyle

  • Encourage good sleep habits – teenagers need about 8-10 hours sleep each night.
  • Teenagers should also aim to get at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day.

Have a great weekend.
