School and Kindergarten Parents and Friends Association Meeting

Our Annual General Meeting was held on Thursday 18th March with a positive turnout.  Congratulations and thank you to the following volunteers who were elected into executive positions:

President – Alyson McPhan

Vice-President – Meg Humm

Secretary – Amy McIntyre

Treasurer – Emma Jeffrey 

2021 will be a great year for fundraising, especially as the expansion of the school is nearing completion, and with restrictions easing, more opportunities to fundraise are available to the MRK-6 community. If you have ideas of how to raise some much needed funds, or would like to have say in how the PFA spend the fundraising $$, please come along to a meeting. 

The next PFA meeting General Meeting will be held Tuesday 27th April 2021 in the staffroom at 9am.  We would like to invite all parents to come along, have a cuppa, meet some new friends and share your ideas.  Toddlers most welcome. 

Easter Raffle – Monday 29th March 

Thank you to our school and kinder families for your donations to the Easter Raffle.   We currently have over 40 prizes to be won so don’t forget to send your raffle tickets through to the office. 

A big thank you to Vicky Pallet, Shelley Jolly, Cathryn Harris, Mel Watt, Meg Humm, Amy McIntyre and Emma Jeffrey for volunteering your time to wrap the Easter prizes.

SpringFest 2020 

In 2020, our commitment to SpringFest took a different turn with no market, but an online raffle instead.  As a beneficiary, Miners Rest K-6 provided support where possible. For this, we have been fortunate to receive a donation of $2500 from the Rotary Club of Ballarat South.  2021 will see us continue with this commitment, dependent on restrictions.
