Music Notes

Enrol in our music program for Term 2

It’s a good time to start learning an instrument!

After a very challenging 2020, we are so pleased to see our students enjoying music lessons and participating in ensembles. Lock-downs have actually increased the value of music education and at Huntingtower we are pleased to welcome new students to the instrumental program. So, if you are thinking about playing a great instrument…now is the time to do it.

We invite you to enrol your child into our exciting music program. Terms and Conditions are available on the Huntingtower website (www.huntingtower.vic.edu.au – Learning and Teaching – Music Program).

There are many reasons why every child should take part in our instrumental music program as it helps with mathematical skills, language skills, problem solving, emotional and cognitive skills. And it is lots of fun when you become part of an ensemble or orchestra with concert opportunities.

We hope to welcome you to our program so you can become part of our musical family.

Top Class 2021 – Leo Kong (Flute)

Congratulations to Leo Kong (Year 12) who performed at Top Class (Recital Centre) last Tuesday. This was a wonderful achievement for Leo, because the VCAA selects students to play at Top Class from those who obtained the highest score on their instrument for VCE Music Performance. Leo performed the Sonata for Flute by the French composer Francis Poulenc.

Ensembles

We love to hear music throughout the day at Huntingtower.  With all restrictions lifted, we are finally able make this much needed music. Most of all, our students are really enjoying the opportunity.

Any student who would like to take part in any of the ensembles, please contact Mr Blazejczak if would like to know more or have any queries.
