Health Careers Forum

On Tuesday, Week 9, our Stage 6 students who are interested in pursuing a health career travelled to the University of Newcastle campus in Tamworth for a day of exploration and investigation. 

During the day students were encouraged to learn more about a diverse range of opportunities including Medicine, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Mental Health, Speech Pathology, Medical Research, and Medical Radiation science.

The forum provided insights into different career paths within the health sector and various options for university study.

Thank you to University of Newcastle, we had a wonderful and highly informative day.

School-based traineeship at Drummond Memorial PS

Congratulations to Malakai Griffiths (Year 11) for successfully securing a school based traineeship with Drummond Memorial Public School.

Malakai will combine the study of a Certificate III in Education Support and on-the-job training Drummond Memorial Public School, whilst completing his HSC.

Thank you to Julianne Crompton, Principal of Drummond Memorial Public School, Karben Training, and Apprenticeship Support Australia for supporting and providing Malakai with this exciting opportunity.
