Computational and Algorithmic Competition (CAT)

Our thanks and congratulations to the one hundred and seventy-four students who sat for the CAT 2021 during Term 1.  This event is designed to test and explore students’ clear thinking skills – in particular encouraging students to consider further education in coding.

There are eight students I would like to mention – each has received a High Distinction for their efforts.

  • Jasper L - Year 7
  • Eric D - Year 7
  • Charlie P - Year 7
  • Qingyu S - Year 8
  • Luca Y - Year 8
  • Kiende G - Year 9
  • Akshith S - Year 9
  • Anthony M - Year 10

The CAT is an event run by the Australian Maths Trust (AMT).  AMT has awarded Jasper LOUEY as the Best in School.  Well Done Jasper!

Each of these students are now invited to participate in the Australian Informatics Olympiad 2021 to be held later in the year.

Our overall results are as follows;

Prizes and certificates will be distributed in the coming weeks.
