Donation

A local Torquay resident and seasoned drummer, Geoff Robinson, recently decided to downsize his collection of drums and drum equipment. Rather than sell it, he decided to donate it to Surf Coast Secondary College. The generosity of this gesture can’t be underestimated, it is superb equipment! Not only did he donate a high quality drum-kit but also a huge collection of additional drums and spare parts. He has also offered his assistance in setting up, tuning and repairing some of our existing equipment. Geoff did not want any fanfare for this gift but we did manage to convince him to lend his name to a perpetual annual award for musical achievement. It’s our way of saying thank you and hopefully he will be available to present it at our end of year awards evening.
