Interschool sport – current status

• School Sport Victoria advises that no interschool sporting events and competitions will run in Term 2.  

• Some interschool sporting events and competitions have been cancelled and will not run in 2020.  

• Resumption of interschool sport is dependent on advice from the Department of Health & Human Services that it considered safe to do so.

School Sport Victoria is planning for how interschool sport can resume in line with the latest available advice, and will be delivered differently to previous years. This means that:

• Some sports may not be delivered this year.

• Students and/or school teams won't progress to State Championships in some sports.

• Sports may be modified to suit the latest health advice, such as physical distancing.
