Remote Learning Update

We are loving the specialist subjects taking centre stage on Wednesdays. I am mindful of families that have students across different levels in the school so have endeavoured to have a consistent skills focus each week across all subschools. So far we have covered locomotor skills, fitness exercises, throwing and catching skills and target games. A big thanks to the students for taking the new approach in their stride, I am loving seeing all the photos and videos. Well done also to the parents and caregivers for acting as chief cheerleaders and for their sublime film making skills!

Life Education Update

Unfortunately we were unable to have the Life Education Van and Healthy Harold come and visit us this term. We have however been lucky enough to secure access to their online modules.

As part of their remote learning Physical Vibe lesson for Week 5 (Wednesday 12th August) the students will work their way through parts of the online modules focusing on the following things:

My Body Matters (Junior School) - identifying ways contribute to a safe and healthy lifestyle

bCyberwise (Middle School) - identifying strategies to keep safe online and ways to be a respectful digital citizen.

Decisions (Senior School) - identifying the decision making process and ways to improve our decision making skills with a focus on choices, consequences, responsibility and influences

Virtual Stair Challenge - Around the World

Have you started climbing one of the landmarks yet? A big well done to those students who have already completed some of the climbs, we already have some students who have conquered all 5.

Please use Week 5 to conquer at least one of the climbs as our Wednesday lesson will be completing the online Life Education modules.

Remember to enter your climbs via the form on the Physical Vibe Google site to go into the prize draw. Challenge closes Friday 14th August.

I look forward to seeing your work on Seesaw, remember to stay active for at least 30 minutes a day by doing things you enjoy. If you are stuck for ideas check out the Physical Vibe Google site page with links to challenges from Casey Basketball and School Sport Victoria.
