Building name - Murrup

The name of the new building is Murrup (pronounced more-roop).   The Koorie translation is Spirit.  Not only is this a perfect name to capture the essence of what the CSPS community is all about, it also connects our House system of fire (Wiiny), water (Baany), earth (Biik) and wind (Munmut).  Spirit is the fifth and final element.

Portable removal

Everything going to plan, the removal of the old Multi Purpose Room will occur in the September school holidays.

Heating and Air Conditioning

After significant consultation and collaboration, we are extremely fortunate to have a state of the art heating AND air conditioning system being installed in Murrup.

Materials and Finishes

We are at the exciting stage of choosing the colour palette and materials for the aesthetic look of Murrup.  We are continuing to explore an 'earthy' approach to complement our natural surroundings.  Watch this space.

ICT

Murrup will include a significant move to a Cisco server, on the Edustar platform.  This will not affect anything from a student/parent perspective, but will increase the capacity of the school as a whole.

Substation

To ensure ample power to fulfill the needs of the Murrup, a substation is required on site. Location TBC.

Art work

You cannot have a new building without new art work.  We are working closely with community artists, connection to country and with students and student leaders, to ensure the Art work complements the focus of our school being spirit and community.  More information to follow.
