"Find Your Treasure".

Book Week at St John Vianney’s is being celebrated this week!! On Monday we celebrated with a whole school gathering in which our students and teachers dressed as their favourite book character. It was great to see so many different characters in our book week parade. Some students participated in a book swap and everyone in the school dropped everything and read for 10 mins during the day. Classes participated in activities such as making bookmarks, completing puzzles, writing about their favourite place to read, listening to a story read by a mystery reader and participating in a scavenger hunt.

This week students can choose to enter a competition to write their own story with the title “Find Your Treasure”.  All stories must be handed into the library by Friday 24th August. Winners will be announced next week.

Library classes this week will be games, puzzles and activities that celebrate book week!!

To complete our 2018 book week celebrations Lee Fox, a children’s picture book author will visit and talk to all classes on Friday 31st August.
