Senior Basketball Gala Day

Last Friday 20 September, students from Years 5 and 6 travelled to Berkeley for the Basketball Gala Day. St Joseph’s had 2 senior boys and 2 senior girls teams competing on the day. As always, our students were an asset to our school community with their sportspersonship on the court and their behaviour off the court. Students participated enthusiastically and their high skill level was demonstrated consistently, with Henry even sinking a swish 3-pointer!

We would like to thank Mrs Jones, Mrs Donovan, Mrs Hammersley, Mrs Dixon and Mr Cox for their guidance, support and management on the day.

Junior Basketball Gala Day

Four teams from Years 3 and 4 attended the Junior Basketball Gala Day on Thursday 19 September. The students had a wonderful day learning new skills, trying their best and having fun with their friends. All students are to be congratulated on their efforts throughout the day, as well as the exceptional sportsmanship they showed towards the opposition and referees.

A special thank you to Mrs Donovan, Mrs Ashcroft, Mrs Lateo, Mrs Van Akker and Mr Graham for generously volunteering their time to help manage the teams on the day.
