Week 6 Character Strength Awards

Our character strength last week was teamwork. The following students were recognised for demonstrating teamwork over the past week. Congratulations to: 

Cynthia Chen and Lily Brown: For working as a team during our Literacy Learning Hubs. 

Andy Bartholomew and Ryder Hird: For demonstrating teamwork during lunch time games. 

Reuben Shaw: For great teamwork during our morning soccer games. 

Week 7 Character Strength Focus

This week our focus is Forgiveness  

At St. Joseph's School, forgiveness is:

• Apologising when you have done something wrong.
• Accepting an apology from others.
• Moving forward and not holding grudges.
• Giving someone a second chance.
• Not allowing an unfortunate event to control how you feel for the whole day.

By building our character strengths, we can all work together to say:

People have a better day because I am here as part of the school team! 

Each week, we will display our focus for all students to see on our Living Well, Learning Well display. We look forward to watching our students display forgiveness when necessary and encourage families to discuss this week's character strength at home.
