Welcome to Anne Marie Cairns, Principal St Joseph’s Echuca.

We whole wholeheartedly welcome Anne Marie Cairns to Kildare Ministries and more particularly to the community of St Joseph’s College in Echuca. Anne Marie has expressed excitement and joy in not only being appointment as Principal but also in the anticipation of what being part of the Echuca Moama community will bring.  She has worked in various schools in Melbourne but this is her first venture into regional Victoria.  Her depth and breadth of leadership experience will equip her to lead St Joseph’s in the next phase of its growth and development, that was so well prepared by her predecessor Mr Michael Delaney.  She is particularly enthusiastic about the second campus and the opportunities that this endeavor will provide for the school community.

Anne Marie has dedicated her life and career to the education of young people, often in the most vulnerable areas of our community. As an educational leader her first priority is clearly the accessibility of quality education for all students and strives to put systems in place to ensure that each child is recognised and supported in their learning. Further, she will bring a contemporary faith expression to her role. Her personal witness of Catholic faith and its mission, already provides the foundation of whom she will be as the faith leader of St Joseph’s.

Ms Cairns will be commissioned as Principal by Kildare Ministries on the 2 March 2022. It will provide an opportunity to commit ourselves to supporting and welcoming her and for Anne Marie to feel that there is a strong network of people around her.

Please join us in wishing Ms Cairns many fruitful years at St Joseph’s Echuca. You might like to send her your own personal message at principal@sje.vic.edu.au. Congratulations Ms Cairns and in the words of John Donohue, “May leadership be for you, a true adventure of growth”.
