Bayside District Primary Schools Basketball Competition
Last Friday, our two teams played in the twelve school competition at Frankston Stadium. Our girls won 8 of their 11 games to place 3rd overall. Our boys won 10 of their 11 games to place 2nd. Three boys teams each won 10 games and the placegetters were decided on percentage.
Hooptime Basketball (Casey Stadium Cranbourne)
Yesterday, our teams played in the Hooptime competition at Cranbourne. The boys reached the semi-finals to be beaten by the team that went on to win the final. The girls went all the way through to win the final. Both the boys and the girls results were outstanding when considering that they were playing against teams from schools with enrolments of over 1,000 students.
Thank you to Mrs Marsh for coaching the girls on both occasions and the assistance provided by Mr Thorn and the parents who helped to transport the students to the competitions. Congratulations to our students whose behaviour and sportsmanship was exemplary. The girls will go onto play at the next level of Hooptime.
