HEALTH AND WELLBEING
PARENTING IDEAS WEB SITE
I thought I would share this extremely informative site with you that many Wellbeing Leaders are using. There are many parenting and teaching resources on it discussing many issues that are facing our children and families today. One of the presenters and experts is Michael Grose. He is the author of many parenting books and also holds a Master of Education researching what makes healthy families tick. I particularly liked his article on ‘Managing Your Child’s Anxiety’. Anxiety in young children seems to be on the increase and Michael Grose has some very practical and informative prevention and helping strategies to share. I hope the site is useful for our community. I have signed up for free and am enjoying reading the interesting articles sent to me.
Lunchtime clubs
Because of the inclement weather some of the teachers have introduced Lunch Time Clubs.
Tuesdays
- The Year 5 and 6 leaders run a soccer clinic
- Craft Club is lead by Mrs Strong
Wednesdays
- Mr Buckley runs a ‘Jenga club’
- Choir is held on a Wednesday at lunchtime
Thursdays
- The Year 5 and 6 leaders run a ACRO club
- Mrs Koziol and Mrs Francis open the library some lunch times for those children that want to read or draw.
There are a lot of things happening around the school at the moment.
Looking forward to Spring!
Yours in Health and Wellbeing
