Year 7 Girls Table Tennis

On the 24th of October, the year 7 girls’ table tennis team competed in the Northern Metropolitan Regional Finals. The girls played extremely well on the day, winning their match against Hume Anglican Grammar, 4 games to 2. Unfortunately Melbourne Girls College and Eltham were too strong on the day, however the Lalor girls put up a good fight. I want to thank John Radimisis for his coaching and scoring on the day, he did an excellent job. A big congratulations to the girls for making it through to the second round of competition, which is not an easy feat!

Girls Futsal Team 

On Thursday 31st of October, Lalor’s year 7 girls futsal teams went out to compete at the Darebin Community Sports Stadium. The girls did an absolutely fantastic job with the A team winning 2 games against Reservoir and East Preston Islamic College, while drawing with Lalor North. The B team performed just as well, also winning 2 games against Thornbury and Preston. A special thank you to Beyza and Monika for sharing their knowledge and expertise in their coaching roles on the day. They did an absolutely fantastic job and I look forward to working with them in future. All of the girls should be proud of their efforts and sportsmanship on the day.
