Rory McKenzie (9 Millward)

Congratulations to Rory McKenzie, who achieved third place in the SSA (Ski and Snowboard Australia) under 16 Australian Alpine Competition at Falls Creek last week.

 

Rory ranked in the top ten in the Giant Slalom events and achieved 3rd place in the Slalom events.

 

Jessica Dean (11 Jenkin)

Congratulations to Jessica Dean, who competed at the Syndey Cheercon Worlds Bid Cheerleading Event in August for the Geelong Team. Her team won 1st place in the Senior Pom Event, 2nd place across all divisions in the Pom Event, and 5th place across the whole competition of 170 teams. Jessica’s team now advances to the Dance Worlds Championships in April 2020 in Orlando, Florida.

 

Mason Conquer (11 Jenkin)

Congratulations to Mason Conquer, who represented Girton at the recent Vic Schools Cycling Championships. Mason rode his first ever criterium in Geelong and placed 1st in his category. He then went on to compete in the mountain bike championships at You Yangs where he placed 2nd in U19, only a few seconds behind the winner. Mason will go on to contest the finals in both road and mountain bike in Bendigo in October.

Charlie Wardrop (12 Aherne) and

Jordan Rogers (12 Millward)

Congratulations to Charlie Wardrop and Jordan Rogers who have made it to the Grand Final of UN Model United Nations Evatt Competition to be held at Parliament House, Spring Street, Melbourne next Wednesday, 18th September. They won the Bendigo and Shepparton Regional Round on the 20th August and finished in First place, and also the Semi-Finals on the 18th August at Queen’s College, University of Melbourne. 

Ruby Conti (7 Millward)

Congratulations to Ruby Conti, who has been selected to represent Australia in Aerobic Gymnastics at the Plovdiv World Cup. Ruby will travel with the Australian team to Bulgaria in October.

 

Lauren Leung (2 Jenkin)

Congratulations to Lauren Leung, who was awarded an “A” in her AMEB Grade 2 in Piano.

Augustine Leung (8 Jenkin)

Congratulations to Augustine Leung, who was awarded an “A” in his AMEB Certificate of Performance in Violin.
