Changes to Key Dates for the 2021-22 VTAC Selection Cycle
Following the VCAA’s announcement on Tuesday 17th August, VCE results will now be released at 7am, Thursday 16 December. VTAC confirms that the ATAR will be released to VCE students at the same time.
The December offer round for domestic students WILL NOT RUN in 2021. The first offer round for domestic year 12 students will be the January round, with offers released on 14 January.

- New Master of Engineering Courses
From 2022, the professional entry Master of Engineering courses will undergo a name change and offer students the opportunity to select a specialisation as they study. This means students can develop a solid foundation in their chosen field, while exploring individual interests and strengths. It offers a more flexible way of studying that will help students ensure they are on the right career path. - Guaranteed ATARs for 2022
The university has taken into consideration the challenges and disruptions to Year 12 students over the last two years, and all applicants who meet the course prerequisites and guaranteed ATAR for their preferred course will achieve a place at the University when they receive their ATAR on 13 December 2021. The new guaranteed ATARs aim to provide students with comfort and assurance, allowing them to prepare for life and study at the University of Melbourne in 2022.
To be eligible for guaranteed entry, applicants must also meet the following requirements:
- All course prerequisites and achieve the ATAR (or notional ATAR) outlined in the table below
- Apply to their preferred undergraduate course at the University via VTAC

- Fine Arts and Music Degrees
Year 12 students applying for the following Fine Arts or Music courses at the University of Melbourne for 2022 are encouraged to take note of extra-requirements for eligibility to be selected. All applicants must submit their Supplementary Application Form (available from their VTAC Account) by the dates listed. There is a USD$25 (approximately AUD$35) fee to submit the Supplementary Form*.
Recorded auditions or portfolios will need to be uploaded via the Supplementary Application form and closing dates vary, so please check the VTAC website very carefully - www.vtac.edu.au, as well as UniMelb Auditions and Interviews for more details about interviews or call-backs for short-listed applicants.

The Australian College of the Arts
Collarts is an independent college offering a range of specialised courses from animation to fashion, from music to interior design. Collarts offers a hands-on, collaborative approach to learning, and the college strives to support those who want to succeed in the creative and entertainment industries, both nationally and internationally.
Throughout their education, students are given opportunities to gain work experience at music festivals, entertainment venues, recording facilities, radio stations, and with brands and organisations at the forefront of contemporary culture.
