Netball Championships
This Friday 13th August our girl and boy netball teams MAY travel to Melbourne to play in the 2021 Netball Victorian School Championships. This will be held at the State Netball Centre in Parkville. Children will travel by bus to this event. The bus will leave Sacred Heart gym carpark at 6.45 am and return at approximately 5.30 pm.
Parents please complete the permission form on PAM.
As this newsletter goes to print, the Victorian netball is currently in a meeting to discuss this Friday and whether it will go ahead or be postponed. I will let you know as soon as I find out.
Olympic Challenge Results
In remote learning the children were given an Olympic challenge. Thank you to all the children who participated. Keep the results and photos coming in.
Some of the results so far are:
Asha McNaughton - Year 2 -246 ball bounces
Sascha Stewart - Year 6 -235 ball bounces
Fred Melville - Year 4 -156 ball bounces
Bronte Scott - Year 6 -34 bounces on the wall with 0 smashed windows!
Reece Charles - Year 5 -100m sprint in 14.41 sec
Colac Division Soccer
The Colac Division Soccer Championships will be held on Tuesday 17th August at the Colac Indoor Centre. The event will commence at 11.45 am and finish at 2.45 pm. Children will need to wear their sport uniform and bring along their drink bottle, snacks and lunch. We will be walking to this event. More details later in the week.
Girls Football Trials
Girls who would like to try out for the ‘Girls Football Team’, will need to wear their sports uniform this Wednesday 11th August. The trials will be held at lunch time. The Colac Division Girls Football Championships will be held on Friday 20th August at the Colac Lake Oval.
Greater Western Football and Netball Championships
The Greater Western Primary Football and Netball Championships will be held on Wednesday 25th August in Alfredton, Ballarat. The team will travel by bus to this event. The bus will leave Sacred Heart gym carpark at 8.00 am and return at approximately 4.00 pm.
