A Message from the Principal

Mrs Pauline Long

Dear Parents and Carers,

It was wonderful to welcome back our students yesterday and see the joy they displayed in seeing their friends again.

Happy faces from the Bowley family.
Excited friends!
Back to handball at last.
It is good to be back!
Handball fun.
So good to see you!
Welcome back to all our students.

Welcome back to all our students.

Today students in Year 3 and Year 5 will bring home their NAPLAN results from assessments held in May this year. Please remember these results are a snapshot of your child’s learning journey and one way to judge progress. Teachers use many other assessment tools to measure learning growth. Some students do not perform well under test situations (especially with time constraints) whilst others thrive.  If you are at all concerned or have questions about your child’s report please don’t hesitate to discuss this with your child’s teacher.

As I reflect on this unexpected term, I would like to share what I am grateful for as Principal of a great school community.

  • I am grateful that our staff are so dedicated and quick to adapt to online learning.
  • I am grateful that we have students who try hard and despite the fact it is not always easy, they have produced lots of awesome work whilst in lockdown.
  • I am grateful that our parents, carers and grandparents supervised home learning with a smile.
  • I am grateful that our community has remained Covid free and we will return to normal in the near future.
  • I am grateful that our students returned to school yesterday!

Enjoy the upcoming two week holiday break

Students return on Tuesday 5th October
