BOOK CLUB NEWS
Issue #6 of Book Club will not have a catalogue sent home due to remote learning, but please don’t let that deter you from jumping online to see Scholastic Book Club’s catalogue.

There are many wonderful books available and priced very reasonably, so all children can afford a new book. Some are as low as $3. With the school holidays coming up, you may like to purchase an activity book for your children to give them an extra thing to do while in lockdown.
All orders must be completed no later than Friday 3 September. If you do place an order, I will be in touch regarding delivery just before the school holidays.
10% of the sales comes back to the school library in rewards points to enable us to purchase more exciting books for the school library.

PREMIER'S READING CHALLENGE- INTERESTING FACTS!
- Students at Murrumbeena have recorded 7121 books as ‘read’ on the Premier’s Reading Challenge Site.
- 788 books have been reviewed by students.
- Alex from Prep S has finished 159 books.
- Athan K. in 1F has also read 181 books, maybe more by the time you read this newsletter. Well done, an amazing effort.
- Everyone in Prep P has at least 8 books already recorded on their challenge page.
- Prep D has 3 students who have already completed the challenge.
- Prep W has added more than 255 books in their class challenge results.
- Prep Q’s Tanmay and Prisha are reading lots of books.
PLEASE NOTE:
The reading challenge will finish on
17 September 2021.
Use your time in September to record all of the books you have read this year and meet the challenge requirements.
Murrumbeena Primary School now has 87 students who have completed the challenge including many students who have absolutely SMASHED the targets and enjoyed reading many, many books this year.
