Principal's Message

Good afternoon and welcome to the end of the term!

What a term it has been, but having said that – this week has been really nice.

I, like all the teachers, have had a chance over the last week to engage with our Year 12's and be totally focussed on their remaining days!

The session times each day have remained as they where during the total lockdown. This created a 'study session' in the afternoon for our Year 12 students. This is an opportunity for the students to meet together to study as a group, to speak to their teachers as needed and to run mini subject tutorial groups. Truthfully, I wasn’t 100% certain how this would go, but I couldn’t be happier.

It has run beautifully. Some students have chosen to go home as they work better that way.

With such a short amount of days left, before the English exam – we have to maximise every minute!

Well done to the students and the staff. (Check out the pics)

Let’s not forget that we also have almost 1000 students who are still working away remotely. This has been a long hard slog and they should all be very proud of themselves and their efforts. Try to get some screen free time during the next two weeks.

Thank you to all staff at the College – they have been remarkable in every way. Bouncing in and out of lockdown – teaching remotely, then face to face, and at times teaching in both styles at once.

Teaching and being a member of the Education Support team is an incredibly demanding job and they have as one, stood tall and been exceptional. Thank you.

I sincerely hope that all members of our College community get to relax and enjoy some time with family and friends (whatever that may look like) during the break. I know that I am certainly looking forward to it.

See you 'ALL' in day one – Term 4!
