SPECIALIST TIMETABLE TUESDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER 2021

FABULOUS FOOTY DAY 

(Footy Day!) Make sure your device is charged and ready to go!

The links for all the sessions will be on Seesaw or Google classroom.

PE - GO DEES!!!!

Prep - to Grade 6 we are all doing footy skills clinics - be dressed in your footy colours and ready for action.

Please bring:

  • a Football ( if you have one)
  • or a pair of socks rolled up 
  • a washing basket, box or tub. 

 

ART 

Prep:  making footy shaker pompoms. Will need: crepe paper in their favourite footy colours (or use any crepe paper, or newspaper, if you don't have the right colours), scissors and masking tape. Paper must be soft and flexible.

 

Grade 1 and 2: making footballs. Will need: strong brown paper or thin brown cardboard, some old newspaper, a hole punch and some wool or string.

 

Grade 3/4: making a football person who needs to get ready for the Big Day. Will need:  a football person (either see my 'Art: footy preparations' post on Tuesday 14th September for a printout  and print on some strong paper, or draw your own if you are unable to print it), and some textas (or similar) with which to colour. 

 

Grade 5/6: design a new jersey and shorts. Will need: you could print my jersey and shorts (see my 'Art: footy preparations' post on Tuesday 14th September), or draw your own; will also need items with which to colour.

Prep, Grade 1& 2

Paper, pencils or markers, a round ball and your favourite team outfit (eg. hat, scarf, jersey....)

Grade 3/4 and Grade 5/6

Paper, pencils or markers, a round ball and your favourite team outfit (eg. hat, scarf, jersey...)

 

PERFORMING ARTS

FOOTY DAY - GO THE BOMBERS!(For next year's season)

Please find below what they need.

Prep, Grade 1 and Grade 2

A homemade instrument of their choice. E.g. 2 pencils, 2 spoons, container with rice, sprinkles or cereal etc.

Grade 3/4 and Grade 5/6

A round ball that bounces well. Not an AFL football (I know it's footy day) as it's too hard to do the activity with a football. If they don't have a bouncy ball they can clap. 

 

Charged laptop or device.       

 

 

 

       

Program:

Check in with your class teacher at 9am. 

Then …   Off we go ( make sure you look in the Newsletter to see what things you need). The link will be on your class page.

 

Our expectations – to make it a fabulous day are:

  1. Enter the meeting silently
  2. Log on to each session.
  3. Be appropriate and respectful. 
  4. Have all the things you need ready
  5. Have fun!
  6. Make sure you log on for Assembly at 3pm – really important.

*** For assembly at 3pm please have teddy bear biscuits and some icing (you can use icing pens or glad bags with the corner cut off with icing inside in your favourite footy colours).

 

PHOTOS- we need you!

Please send your Fabulous photos into Mr Laurie – we’d love to see you taking a “Speckie” in the backyard or kicking a great goal. 

Photos will be used in the Newsletter, Warrandyte Diary and on our Facebook page – get active and send those great pics in please. Your parents and teachers are also welcome to send a pic in – just to add to the fun!
