Dromana College Swimming Carnival

The Dromana College Swimming Carnival is annually one of the best days of the school year. Students take  pride in participating in all aspects of the carnival. Whether it’s competing, dressing up in house colours or cheering on their fellow classmates, the atmosphere at Waverley Aquatic Centre is incredible and 2019 was no exception. This year the Year 12 students led the way with their creative displays of motivation that trickled all the way down to the junior year levels. The day catered for all varieties of activities, including the usual competitive races such as Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke and Butterfly, along with a novelty event at the end of the day which is always fun. Out of the pool, snow cones were sold by the Cambodia Fundraiser team and the Sport and Rec students were to be congratulated on their help in setting up the event. A big thank you to the Saint John’s Ambulance volunteers who were  there looking out for everyone.
