Examinations and Our Library:
Exam week is nearly over and our students have been working well in all breaks of the day as well as in academic assistance in our Library. Our flash card supply was raided from early in the revision program by students of all year levels from Year 7 to Year 11. Before English, Chinese and French exams there have been a number of visitors who need to borrow a dictionary because they had left theirs at home. The photocopier was very popular on the mornings of days with Mathematics papers to be sat. This is a distinct change across all year levels and very rewarding to us, and hopefully is reflected in improved results.
Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge Piccino to Year10:
On these cold and recently damp days what better way to spend time other than reading. All students except those in Year 8 have been issued with their log in details. Please advise Mrs. Frances O’Brien of any issues with Piccino students and Mrs. Nettleton or myself for students above this age group. Thank you to those parents who have notified us of problems this week.
24/7 Access:
We keep hearing that these days you can read or research anywhere. Here is some evidence that this may well be true!
Year 5:
This week’s lesson was intriguingly different and the students were engaged at a very high level. See why here!

Junior Library
We are now coming the end of Term Two! Where has the time gone? We are now finishing up our Term Two projects and should have some great research projects to fill you in on from Year 4, reports about our exchange with Caulfield Grammar School by Year 3 and some fabulous poetry from the Prep-Year 2 classes. This Thursday June 2nd will be open library and library committee meeting for those students involved. Please come to the Myrniong library as soon as you are done eating your lunches. Hopefully we will get some nice weather and we can sit outside and soak up some sun!
