School Notifications

Important Message - Changes to Communication

After consultation with the School Advisory Council, PFA and staff, we are moving to communicate all school matters to one platform. We will no longer be using Skoolbag, all communication will be through Operoo.

Operoo offers parents a communication platform for Medical records, first aid, consent forms for excursions/camps, absentee form and messages to groups or the whole school regarding news, announcements and reminders.

Operoo allows for 2 contacts, a primary contact and secondary contact.

The primary contact is given the ability to modify the profile and respond to eForms.

The secondary contact can receive notifications.

As we transition all communication over to Operoo, we will still be using Skoolbag until the end of term 3. More information will be provided in the coming weeks.

Update School Master plan and class structure 2023 surveys

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Master Plan Survey supplied by our architects Kennedy Nolan. A small working party of the School Advisory Council (Imogen Lewis, Simon Lewin and I) and Wayne Hay from MACS (Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools) are working with the architects on the first of our options which we hope to be able to share with the community soon. It is a very exciting time for the school and the initial plans have respectfully tried to capture the contributions from the staff, students, parent feedback and preserve our heritage and best features.

A reminder that the Class Structure Survey 2023 will close on Friday 19 August. As part of the process, we have surveyed staff, students and the parent community. Once the data is collated, we will put together and share a summary of the data collected. Thank you to all who have contributed so far and for your feedback and comments.

Intentions for 2023

Planning for 2023 is well underway. To assist us in this process could you please let me know, dmaddalena@scelwood.catholic.edu.au, if your child will not be returning to St Columba’s in 2023 so we can make their place available.

Last Day of term 4

The school year will conclude with a Whole school Mass and graduation at 5:00pm in the St Columba’s Church. Children in Year P-5 will finish school on Friday 16 December 1:00pm.
