Harry Potter Excursion

Year 9 Stage and Screen

The Year 9 Stage and Screen classes went to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Wednesday 21st June. Viewing a professional performance helped enhance their knowledge and understanding  of production roles for their ensemble performance.

The play’s special effects were good and the representation of the world was alright but the plot was slightly confusing as the main characters were constantly bouncing back and forth but overall it was a great experience.

This show was really interesting because it was a continuation of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2. I would rate this show 10/10. I enjoyed towards the end of show when Snape killed Professor Umbridge.

It was an amazing experience and definitely a once in a lifetime theatre show. The theme of magic really showed within the stage effects, and there was a great storyline which brought most to tears. It was creative and new and there were feats of disappearance and even swimming in water. There was constant movement and a great use of the whole theatre; it’s a must watch.
