Billy Cart Program - Student Report

At the end of Term 2, our Billy Cart session was the very last session of the program! This means that we did our BIG RACE. The first 20 minutes consisted of us practising and readying for the race, then we headed down to the track to perform our relay-like race. Three groups at a time lined up on the start line, one member steering and one pushing. The first corner symbolised a changeover between the driver and the pusher, the second signalled the members to hop out and give the cart to the other two members to finish the race.

It was very exciting and extremely close. A few collisions happened but everyone was alright. In the end, the Pac-Man themed group won four $25 movie vouchers each! Congratulations to the winners and everyone did a great job developing, decorating and testing the carts!

EDSC would also like to extend a sincere thanks to Daryl Brown and the Rotary Club of Manningham for their support and funding.  Also, to Adam and his team from Supreme Incursions for their work in teaching and supporting out students throughout the program.
