FATHER'S DAY BBQ

Thank you for the wonderful support of parents and the Father's Day BBQ.

This has been the first time in a while that we have hosted a morning breakfast event and it was wonderful to see so many families out and about so early in the morning. Thank you to our fabulous team of mum helpers who had the bacon and egg station running like clockwork- your help was greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to our Year 1 team of teachers and students who prepared a special liturgy for our dads. What a special celebration it was!

CHRISTMAS ART COMPETITION

Our 9 Christmas Art Finalists will be heading to Bathurst this Friday with Mrs Worland to attend the exhibition for the finalists in the Bathurst Diocese. We were thrilled to hear that Wade Townsend will progress to the next level to represent the Bathurst Diocese. Wade's artwork will be displayed in Sydney with other grand finalists from other Dioceses.

 Good luck Wade!!

I choose to base my artwork on the angel appearing to Joseph in a dream. (Matthew 1:18-25) This appealed to me as it was a unique part of the story. Joseph doubted Mary, but when he received the message from the angel he knew he should still marry her because her baby was going to be the Son of God. I enjoyed mixing both chalk pastels along with oil pastels in my artwork. I took time to mix all the colours, until I was happy with the blend. I used a mixture of colours for the skin, brown, dark yellow and a cream colour. For the clothes my aim was to have a smooth creamy white colour and for the background I used a mixture of brown and white.
