Confirmation Celebration Friday 11th August

Last Friday many of our Year 6 students celebrated the sacrament of Confirmation.  The evening was well attended by families and sponsors along with extended family members.  I thank John, Kristina, Scott, Danielle, Anna, Chelsea, Alexandra, Lisa, Cheryl and Ann for being part of the preparation of  these students for this important milestone.

Thanks to Bishop Martin and Father Anton for presiding over the mass.

OLSC Book Fair

The OLSC Book Fair is arriving on Monday 21st August and will be ready to visit on the Tuesday morning before school from 8:30 to 8:50 am. All students will visit the Book Fair with their teachers during the first few days so they can view what is available and create a personal wish list.

From Tuesday the 22nd to Friday the 25th of August, families are welcome to visit the Book Fair before and after school to make purchases. Both cash and EFTPOS payments are welcome. The Book Fair will also be open ONLY to the students who bring money, on Thursday the 24th, during break times. They should bring their money in a labelled envelope or zip-lock bag and this can be given to their teachers to look after during the day.

OLSC Book Week

This a reminder that the OLSC Book Week parade will be held on the morning of Wednesday 23rd August. This is to take place in the school's Sports Hall where we will gather as a whole school at 9 am. We invite families to join us for the parade.

On the day, students may come to school dressed up as their favourite book character or they can choose to wear colourful party clothes to celebrate our love of reading. Alternatively, costumes can also relate to the Book Week theme of 'Read, Grow, Inspire'. We ask that students wear sensible footwear with their costumes so they can still play safely at break times.

Some Reminders:

Pie Drive orders are due - please refer to the Parents and Friends Page

Father's Day Breakfast Wednesday 30th August - Flier on Parents and Friends Page

Have a great weekend and thanks everyone for your ongoing support of our school.
