Here are some updates for the week.
100 days of Prep!
Our Preps celebrate their 100 days of school this Friday. Look out for their dress up theme as a 100 Year old person! (there had better not be any Mr Mutimer impersonations! I'm not quite there yet.)
Baby News...
We have wonderful news to share - Jess Moffatt (nee Waters), our Learning Diversity Leader, and her husband, Alex, are expecting their first child. Jess intends to commence her maternity leave early December. Congratulations Jess from your SJV community.
Working Bee this Saturday 9.30am - 11.00am
Can you spare 90 minutes to help out with some gardening maintenance items at St James?
Some of the tasks include: moving mulch (wheelbarrows and garden forks required), cleaning out the bike shed, weeding (garden gloves and weeding tools required), cleaning out spouting (gardening gloves required)

Concert Production
Learning moves and lyrics continues to be the focus for students now that the choreography is complete.
Class teachers will be sending home information regarding costumes and parents support in the next few weeks.

Uma stars in new ABC Comedy "F.A.N.G"
Congratulations to Uma, who, after being selected to play a role in this new series, has been filming over the past month. Filming will continue for a few more weeks. Please read the attached information to discover more about the series and Uma's role.
St John's Parish Fete
We are always looking for community members to help out. We will send out a sign up link later in the term but for now the committee are specifically looking for an electrician and plumber to assist the Fete committee electrician and plumber. Please contact the school office if you are able to help out.
Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD)
As part of our NCCD process, we are required to let families know that we are conducting our NCCD count. Please see attached the CECV Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) On School Students with Disability for your information.
Farm Help
We are still looking for four more families to help out with the chickens, if you are available to help, please email preferred dates to office@sjvermont.catholic.edu.au.

2024 Enrolments at St James
We are expecting that all current families/students in Years Prep - Five will be returning to St James next year. If your family/child will not be returning next year, please contact the school office as soon as possible. We currently have waiting lists for many levels across the school.
Students going into Year 7, 2025
The Catholic Education enrolment date for Year 7 2025(current Yr 5s) is 18 August 2023. If you wish to enrol your child a Catholic Secondary School, please ensure your enrolment form is sent directly to the Secondary Schools Registrar by 18th August. Please see below MACS updated Enrolment Policy for further information.
Food Day Volunteers

A few other updates and happenings
- Yr 5/6 Footy team competed in the Division Finals today
- Yr 5/6 Soccer team is competing in the Division Finals tomorrow
- Yr 5/6 Netball Team is competing in the Division Final on Friday
- Marathon Club is on this week but NOT on 9th August due the the Yr 4 - 6 Athletics
- Food Day is this Wednesday
