Principal's Report

Dear Parents,

Yesterday we held our annual Grandparents and Special Friends day.  I would like to thank everyone for making it such a special day.  It was wonderful to see so many visitors in our school.  The liturgies first up in the morning were prayerful and the sharing of work and learning together was very engaging.  My thanks to the Year 6 parents for providing the morning tea for everyone.  Thanks to the Year 5 & 6 main ensemble cast for performing some of the upcoming 'Alice the Musical' songs for our visitors, very ably coordinated by Mrs. Williams and Miss Kay.  It was so good seeing our community come together to share these moments.

Please note this additional information regarding the 2 Main Days of Performances.

7pmPerformance 2

On Tuesday 8th August all students will need to be dropped off at the Kingston City Hall by 8:45am dressed and ready for a FULL DRESS rehearsal.  Carpooling is highly advised.  Parents are asked to do a drive through style of drop off at the City Hall on the morning of the concert where teachers will greet students and escort them in.  There is a slip road off Nepean Highway in front of the Town Hall which is ideal for quick drop offs.

Please note that the slip road out the front of Kingston City Hall may be busier than normal due to train line closures and metro buses being in close proximity.  Special care and patience is required from all adults to ensure child safety.

**Please note that if you require Before or After school Care on Tuesday 8th August, a Mini bus will be running to get the students to and from Kingston City Hall (driven by myself).  Students will be picked up from school at 8:30am SHARP and taken to Kingston City Hall.  At the conclusion of the 1st Performance at 2:30pm, the students who are booked into aftercare will be returned to school on the Mini bus, where parents can collect their children as per usual from the school hall.  Children who are not booked into before/after care will not be allowed to access this service.**

Wednesday 9th August will run as follows:

8:50am -3:30pm

Prep 100 Days of School

It is hard to believe, but our Prep students have almost reached

their first 100 days of school.  We will be holding a special assembly and fun morning tomorrow to celebrate this important milestone.

Whole School Parent Survey

Yesterday you should have received an email containing a survey from Ms. Hill regarding school communication methods.  We are currently looking at ways to improve school communication.  A big shout out to the School Advisory Council for driving this important information gathering activity.

2024 returning students

We are currently seeking confirmation from families in regards to the 2024 enrolment status for their children.  Can I please ask all families to complete the Operoo link which was sent out on Tuesday 25th July ASAP.  We currently have many families on our waiting lists for 2024 and we would like to let them know of availability of places as soon as we can.

God Bless,

Pat Berlingeri
