Course Counselling

On Wednesday 2nd August the Year 10 Course Counselling was held. Each member of our Year 10 cohort, plus a member of their family, had individual one-on-one meetings with a member of the Senior School team, to counsel them in their VCE/VCE-VM selections for 2024. The interviews gave families and students the opportunity to reflect on their selections, discuss their future pathways, and refine their course selections, while also strengthening our school-family partnerships. 

Course Counselling is just one supportive measure for Careers throughout the year for our Year 10 students. Students have been completing Careers work in their Discovery classes, attended assemblies with access to resources and recordings, and have participated in the Subject Expo session as part of the Careers Expo Day, which also included sessions with guest speakers in different industries and exposure to tertiary representatives.

We wish our Year 10 students all the best with their selections and we look forward to them commencing their VCE journey in Headstart at the end of the year.

VTAC Assembly

The VTAC application process opened on Monday 31st July and timely applications will close on 28 September. Our Year 12 students attended an important assembly on Wednesday 2nd August to understand the VTAC application process. Led by Careers Coordinator, Vanessa Ramsay, important VTAC timelines were discussed and then students were led through the process of creating a VTAC account and submitting their first-round university preferences. Preferences can be changed at any time but now our students have the knowledge on navigating the VTAC system.
