Tinkerspace is a group founded by Year 10 students, Anthony, Aaron and Lucas, that lets students explore creativity.
We get together once a week at lunchtime and create stuff, make new friends, and share our likes and passions. We work with David and Jordan from the Wellbeing team who support us to be creative and develop new skills! We are currently working on several projects, including constructing a petrol-powered go-kart, repairing the Breakfast Club sign, and sketching and eventually spray painting a sign for the shed that we work out of near K-Block. We will hopefully be getting other opportunities in the future that will allow us to work on different projects around the school.
Training Day
As part of student training for the upcoming Nepal tour, students completed a safety and training day on Saturday 22nd July. Our students hiked from Doncaster Secondary College to the Hungry Hiker Nepalese restaurant in Bulleen. The weather was great over the 13km walk. Fingers crossed it’s similar in the Himalayas!
Why not come along to the World Challenge Nepal Trivia Night on Tuesday 29th August and support our Year 10 and Year 11 students who are about to embark on a trip of a lifetime. All funds raised will go towards the community project they are delivering to the Nepalese people.
