COMMENCEMENT PROCEDURES - PREP

Prep students will commence school in 2024 on Tuesday 30th January starting at 8:55am, finishing at 1:00pm*.   

Only lunch to be brought to school on this first day.  Prep children will not attend school on Wednesdays for the subsequent four weeks in order to facilitate their adjustment to school life and complete testing requirements.

No Wednesday attendance 31st Jan, 7th, 14th & 21st February 2024. 

On these Wednesdays in January and February your child will be scheduled to attend an appointment (once off, not each week) for Literacy and Numeracy screening with the teachers.

Monday 26th February, onwards Preps will commence 5 days per week – Full time from 8:55am TO 3:30pm

Whilst most children adjust very readily to school routines and are reluctant to miss classes, it is possible that some children may become tired and require a rest at home, particularly during warmer days. If this is necessary, parents are asked to advise teachers in writing that they will be keeping their child at home or collecting them early.

To avoid over tiredness, Prep children are gradually introduced to full-time schooling.
