Sport

It’s been an exciting fortnight in PE!

Here are some of the highlights:

Division Athletics

On Wednesday the 12th of October, 25 Rangeview students competed in the Whitehorse Division Athletics day. It was great to see so much enthusiasm and skill demonstrated on the day by our students. We had some fantastic results throughout the day including our under/11 boys relay team who finished 1st place, Cody who won the 200m and finished 2nd in the Triple Jump, Fiona who finished 2nd in Long Jump, Marcus who won the 200m, Kevin who won the shot put and Jack who finished 3rd in both the 800m and 1500m races. Great job!!

Division Inter-school sports finals

Over the last two weeks, two of our teams (Boys Basketball and Boys Softball) competed in the Whitehorse Division finals for their sports. Both teams tried their very best and displayed great teamwork and skills which led to them competing in the Division final on the day, although unfortunately the results didn’t go their well just falling short. Great job!

 Regional Athletics

On Thursday the 20th of October, Rangeview had 7 students participate in the Eastern Regional Athletics finals at Doncaster Athletics track. We had some fantastic results throughout the day with students pushing themselves to achieve their personal best. Congratulations to all students who competed at this high level of competition and a special mention to Cody who finished 3rd overall in the Region in triple jump, jumping over 8m!! Go Rangeview! 😊

Level 3-6 Friday Sports

Over the last few weeks our Level 5/6 students have started competing in the 2022 House Cup, throughout the term they will compete in numerous different sports learning new skills as well as developing game sense and teamwork skills whilst earning points for their house. Our Level 3/4 students have also started their Friday sport sessions where they are also learning skills in new sports as well as continuing to develop and grow their game sense in a fun developmental environment!
