Term 1

Colour Run

On Thursday 6th April, Concord School’s SRC will be hosting a whole-school Colour Run. Students will be encouraged to move around the course, socialise with their friends and be covered in vibrant powders. It is the perfect way to raise school spirit and raise funds for the school!  Parents are welcome to attend on the day.

Please refer to Compass for the Event details.

Social Competencies at Concord School

This term our Student Wellbeing & Engagement Leaders have been working on our Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) goal: To strengthen the whole-school approach in the delivery of Social Competencies programs using the Concord School Social Competencies Framework

Last week our Social Competencies teachers, Jackie Lakin and Courtney King, addressed our staff, explaining the history of our program and delving into the teaching guidelines and how they link to the Victorian Curriculum.  This has enabled teachers to establish individual goals for each student to work on this semester in the areas of Feelings and for secondary students, Personal Learning.

This week our Allied Health team have been working with each section to develop staff knowledge of Interoception and how this can support our students to regulate their feelings.
