Teaching and Learning in 3B

What has been happening in 3B?

3B have had a wonderful start to the new school year. It has been lovely to see new friendships bloom and the students quickly settle into their new classroom routine.

In the morning students have enjoyed borrowing a Lexile book from the library and reading their ‘good-fit’ book during their sustained reading time.

We have been enjoying our maths rotations each day where students practice their problem solving skills, mental computation of the 4 processes and complete Mathletics tasks.

3B students have also been using the SQ3R reading strategy to identify the key elements in a question and have been practising their narrative writing, focusing on using adjectives to describe their characters and settings and coming up with interesting story starters.
