We welcome our youngest members of the St Albans Secondary College community.
On 14 May, Mrs Daniela Viscio and her husband happily welcomed Sarah to their family.
Congratulations to Daniela and to your family. We wish you all the best as you get to know your newest family member.
Farewell
At the end of this term, we will say farewell to Ms Ayse Unal, Ms Lynne Borle, Ms Julie Crosbie, Ms Simone Papagianopoulos and Mr Peter Sinclair. Ayse, Lynne, Julie, Simone and Peter have been replacing staff on leave, and on behalf of their students and the staff, we thank them for their dedication to their students and colleagues, and their contributions to the school throughout this year and last. We are really fortunate to be able to call on their experience and their connection with the school in these situations. We wish each of them all the very best.
Ms Marlene Cassar, Ms Grace Wendiggensen , and Mr Nick D’Aglas will take long service leave in Term 3, and we hope they thoroughly enjoy their break.
Years 7-11 Reports
On the last day of term, Friday 28 June, all Year 7-11 reports will be posted on Compass. Year 12 Unit 3 VCE and VCAL reports will be available after the break at the end of the second week of Term 3 on Friday, July 26.
Please take the time to read your son or daughter’s reports. The reports provides valuable information on your child’s progress and achievements for the first semester of this year. A focus of a discussion with your son or daughter about the report could be on developing strategies and work habits to assist with implementation of the recommended areas for improvement that are included for each subject.

Year 12 Mid-Year Exams
The mid-year exams for all Unit 3-4 VCE subjects provide students with practice of examination style questions completed under exam conditions. They enable staff to provide targeted feedback to students about their understanding and progress to date in each of their subjects.
The exams will be held at the school in the first week of the mid-year break, from Thursday, 4 July to Tuesday, 9 July and will be overseen by VCE exam supervisors.
Parents, please note that all students are required to attend the exams, unless they have a medical certificate.

Thank you to all our staff and to you, as parents for your dedication to and support of our students and the school this term. Term 2 is always very demanding with exams, tests and reports, and we appreciate your work and commitment. We hope you enjoy a wonderful break over the holidays.
