Bullying:

“In the bullying lesson the warm up was getting the students into a circle and each student was to say something nice about the person next to them.  The point of this activity was to get students to feel comfortable with each other to lead into the main activity. The main activity was a game based around different personas and personalities; each student was given a different personality/persona.  We put all the students in a line and we asked questions focused around bullying and students were to step forward if they said yes to the scenario or step back if they said no. An example being: Would you person feel comfortable going to wellbeing? Would you be able to give your opinion in class? Afterwards we asked the students questions about the activities and what they thought the point of the lesson was about and if they would then change any of their behaviours. Nikita Pereira 9.5

Mental Health:

“One of the sessions we taught was on mental health and we had three activities we did with the Year 7s. One was a speed dating, stand up if you agree and what was the last thing that made you smile.  For the speed dating activity, we had a bunch of mental health questions and the students had 1minute to answer them in a pair and then move on and answer another question in a different pair. The students all listened really well and were very interested in the activities that we did with them. They learnt a lot by the end of the session, especially about how mental health can go up and down in our lives.” Brandon Abbott 9.4
