Literacy and Numeracy Centre

The LiNC this term has seen the continuation of Year 7 and Year 8 Maths classes coming to visit and experience new pedagogical practices to engage them in their learning  and improve learning outcomes. Students have been involved in learning activities based around their course content and revision for upcoming exams.

Teachers have had the opportunity to observe the numeracy sessions to gain an insight into innovative and engaging teaching practices and how to engage their students in their own classrooms. This year has seen many classes through the LiNC and many teachers gain experience and ideas on excellent teaching practice.

In 2016, Paul James will be the Numeracy coach and I would like to say congratulations and I look forward to the continuing learning growth of our numeracy classes.
