Welcome to New Staff

PHOEBE LAM

1-2 Reggio (Tuesday - Friday), Prep Reggio (Monday)

My name is Phoebe Lam and I was working as a Casual relief teacher last year to gain more teaching experience and knowledge. I was lucky enough to work for Collingwood College as a CRT and was given the opportunity to work as a Full time Primary teacher for 2019.

I am so happy and excited to be a part of the Collingwood College community. It brings me so much joy to be a part of this dynamic team.

I love to travel around the world and meet new people and I enjoy going on hikes.

Carolyn Shepherd

3-4 Reggio

Hello everyone! My name is Carolyn Shepherd, and I am teaching alongside Katie McLachlan in Reggio 3/4. I feel very fortunate to be working at Collingwood College because the community has been so welcoming and supportive.

My professional background is in art and design, and I am new to teaching in a Primary School setting. I hope to incorporate some of my art and design knowledge and skills in the classroom this year.

Kristyn Martin

Secondary School

I'm delighted to be returning to the Collingwood College community after family leave. This year I'll be teaching Year 7 Humanities and English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Year 10 Humanities. I am also very excited to be joining the teaching team of the newly opened Collingwood College Language Centre.

With two young children I have limited 'free time', but do enjoy reading and going to see live music on the rare occasion.

Jo Windred

Primary School - Steiner Classes

Hello! My name is Jo Windred and I am teaching one day per week in both Class 4 Steiner and Frank's Class 3 Steiner classrooms. I am also teaching Class 6 craft, which is very exciting, as I love knitting and weaving and all things crafty. I also love singing, and have taught lots of the students singing and choir over the past few years here at Collingwood College as well as being a Casual Relief Teacher (CRT) across the school. My daughters Mabel and Ivy have been in the high school for many years, and I am also mum of Percy in Nick's Class 3 Steiner.  I love Collingwood College because everyone looks after each other and it feels like a big diverse family.

Rachel Wood

Senior Secondary School

My name is Rachel Wood and I am very happy to be returning to Collingwood College this year. I previously taught within the secondary school in 2017. At that time, my main focus was in the junior year levels but this year I have been placed in the senior school. I took long service leave last year so that we could start a family, we also moved to Brisbane to acquire a new business venture which was very exciting but also exhausting. Prior to Collingwood College, I taught at Wyndham Central Secondary School in Werribee and mainly focused on the senior levels there also. When I manage to find some spare time I enjoy reading books, scuba diving and road cycling (although I'm finding it quite hard to fit all this in). I am very excited to be back and be a part of this wonderful and unique school community and wish everyone a great start to the year.
