Alumni Coordinator

Hi everyone,

My name is Ella Burnett and it is my pleasure to be Mornington Secondary College’s new Alumni Coordinator. Some of you may remember me from previous years when I was a student at MSC, particularly in 2018 when I was College Captain.

Since leaving school I’ve commenced a Diploma of Event Management and Certificate III in Live Production at Holmesglen Institute of TAFE. Despite my reluctance to go to TAFE for the duration of school, I am absolutely enjoying every second of this course so far. I’ve completed four placements at events such as Brewers’ Feast Festival and Moomba Festival and will later this year work on the Victorian State School Spectacular. It has been challenging and busy at times (sometimes more so than Year 12!), but its something I am truly passionate about and hope to be doing full time once my Diploma is up at the end of the year.

When I’m not studying, I’m most probably working in either my retail job at Australian Geographic or, of course, here in my new role. So far, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying being a new staff member at MSC, although it has taken some getting used to (especially calling the teachers by their first names).

I’m extremely thrilled to have been asked back to work here and look forward to what this job has in store for me. Please find attached copy of how you can contribute to our Alumni.
