2019 Book Fair

To the Book Fair and Beyond! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon, so get ready for some out of this world excitement! You can go where no reader has gone before as you explore the coolest array of books in the cosmos.

 

We’ll be launching this stellar reading celebration in the Library Resource Centre on Friday 2 November with the event running until Wednesday 7 November. You will be able to visit the Book Fair from 8am – 8:30am; 12:30 – 1:00pm; 3:00pm – 4:00pm each day

 

This is a great opportunity to promote reading with your child and a great way for the library to receive many free books!

Join us for an evening with Maggie Dent

The SEEDS Project invites you to a fantastic evening with Maggie Dent as she presents Real Kids in an Unreal World: Building Resilience and Self-esteem in Today's Children (10 Resilience Building Blocks). Children need to have certain basic experiences to build the competencies that will help them manage life - the good, the bad and the ugly.

 

Maggie has developed a common-sense, practical model of 10 building blocks that will reassure parents that what we have always known to be important in the early years of a child's life is still important. This seminar will offer you practical, common-sense ideas and strategies to make small changes in your home, which will make a big difference to your child's cognitive, physical, psychological, emotional and social health later in life.

Time: 7:00pm to 8:30pm
