Careers

Careers Report September 2018
Year 12 students are currently completing VTAC and SATAC applications for University admission.
A number of our students will be taking a GAP year but will need to apply for places this year and defer them until they are ready to start their studies. Students taking a GAP year cannot apply for Scholarships for 2019 but can apply next year for 2020 offers.
Students at Edenhope are also completing SEAS applications, The Special Entry Access Scheme.
This scheme allows students greater access to courses if they have not met the required ATAR score. Students must still meet the subject prerequisites for the courses they are applying for. All students will be eligible for Locality bonus due to our rural remote location. Other areas have been discussed with all students. The actual ATAR score of a student does not change.
May I again ask Parents to check with Centrelink regarding financial support that may be available to their children. It would be a good time to do this during the upcoming holiday break.
For more information on Scholarships available see https://www.eduweb.vic.gov.au/scholarships/list.aspx?YearID=13
Applications for SEAS and Scholarship applications close on 12 October.
