Supported Playgroup
As many of you may know, last year St Bridget's established a supported playgroup. Each Thursday morning 9 am-10.45 am children from birth to preschool-aged are invited to come and join us in exploring learning opportunities with their parents. Supported playgroup aims to give families some extra ideas as to how they can encourage their child's learning experiences from a very early age.
Our playgroup is open to not only our own community but also to the wider community as the idea is to offer new families the opportunity to experience St Bridget's with the hope they will enrol their child in future years. If you know of anyone who would benefit from our Playgroup please encourage them to come along. The cost is just a gold coin donation.
Thank you to everybody who so generously donated resources to help in the establishment of our supported playgroup.
Water play was a much-loved experience for many of our Little Learners. With endless learning opportunities, every age group was able to explore multiple activities. Water play provides children an example of hot and cold which is the introduction of basic scientific concepts. It also allows for children to practise their hand-eye coordination and communication skills as they understand the task at hand.
Making simple boats with their parents allowed children an opportunity to explore the idea of floating.
