News from the Prep Room

The preps are currently working their way through the alphabet by creating craft associated with the letter and sound they are learning. 

They also enjoyed Buddy Time recently where they created jellyfish together. Counting up to twenty, the Preps were tasked with placing white paint dots on the corresponding number tentacle. All the Preps enjoyed spending time with their Buddy and being able to create something together.

Here are some responses from our Prep students: 

"I like making things at school. I made a volcano. Volcano begins with V.  

Vest, violin, van, and vine also begin with V."

"I learnt all about jellyfish. I made a purple jellyfish with my Buddy Tyler. Jellyfish begins with J.  Jog, jet, jam, jar and jump begin with J."

"I have learnt about volcanoes. I made an orange one."

"I love playing with toys at school. I learnt about ducks. I made a duck face on a paper plate. Duck begins with the sound D."

"I made a Jack in the Box. Jack in the Box begins with J"

"I like drawing pictures. I made a jellyfish with my Buddy. It is yellow.  Jellyfish begins with J. Jen, jog, joke and jar begin with j. My name begins with J too. We had to make the numbers 1-20 by dipping a cotton bud into paint and making spots"

"I made a duck face with a paper plate. We were learning about the letter D and I know lots of words that start with D."

The Preps have also been working on Mother's Day gifts for each of the children to bring home.
