Mothers’ Day Stall

We had a very successful Mothers’ Day stall last week, and it was just lovely to see the excitement of the children as they deliberated over and selected a gift for the special women in their lives.

 

Huge thanks to Pooja Jethra (Mum of Prisha in Grade 4 and Nimay in Grade 2), for the enormous amount of work she did in the lead up to and on the day of the stall.  Thank you too to all the parents (and special return helper, Leesa Needham) who volunteered their time to help with wrapping presents and manning the stall.

 

 

Mothers’ Day Breakfast

We are very excited about the PFA Mothers’ Day breakfast, being held at the newly opened Major Mitchell Café, from 7:30 – 9am tomorrow morning.

 

Big thanks to Sandra Michela (Mum of Max and Camila in Grade 3), Ellen Cato (Mum of Hazel in Prep) and Karen Phillips (Mum of Kate in Grade 5) for organising the event, and to the following generous families and local businesses, who have donated door and raffle prizes:

PFA Popcorn Days

We are excited that we will soon be launching Popcorn Days in place of Icypole Days for the colder weather of Terms 2 and 3!  James Kondarovskis (Dad of Victor in Grade 1), from the Superpop Group, has kindly loaned the PFA a giant popcorn machine.

 

Members of the PFA committee are busy testing it out (it’s a tough job, but somebody has to do it!) and will post some announcements on Compass soon with details of how and when students will be able to buy popcorn in the coming weeks.

 

Upcoming Events

Some events to look forward to in the coming month or so – more details will be provided via Compass closer to the dates:

  • PFA Sushi Day Fundraiser – Friday 28th May – orders will open in Qkr early next week
  • Cupcake Day / Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea – Friday 18th June
