Principal's Report

School Expansion move starts...

Remote Learning

Congratulations School Community - you are all doing an amazing job in an extraordinary time, that just keeps going!

From students, to families and staff, stay positive, stay strong, stay resilient and please stay optimistic.  We will get through this, no matter when it ends.

Further announcements are imminent and I will correspond to all school community members regarding our way forward, once I have confirmed information.

Classroom Transition Outline

With the capital works project approaching a key milestone ie two buildings for handover, as well as the removal and relocation of our modular buildings, all by the end of term two holidays, it is necessary for classroom moves to occur.  This will mean interruptions to regular teaching & learning.

At this stage, it is hoped that all students will begin on the expanded site from day one of term three, however, this is subject to change.

Students will only have a very minor role in classroom moves, predominantly only moving their own personal items.  We are conscious of protecting student learning time and have planned accordingly, to support classroom moves with a removalist company and Casual Relief Teaching staff to backfill regular staff whilst moving.

An approximate outline of the program is set out below, but is subject to change (note, some classrooms will require multiple moves):

All dates are only week beginning, not actual.

Historic School Gates

If anyone in our school community has the skills and expertise to restore / rejuvenate our historic front gates to the school, please contact me on (5334 6328 or dale.power@education.vic.gov.au).  We would be most grateful.

They require a steel brush (drill bit) and 2 pack epoxy paint in black.

We are hoping to bring them back to life and in keeping with the new fence we will have put in along the front boundary of the school.

Assembly this Friday

I look forward to seeing many of you via WebEx this Friday from 2:45pm, to celebrate student achievement.
