3/4 News

Maths

We have been making great use of the Seesaw app this week and have been experimenting with more online activities. The students were working on 3D shapes and progressively worked towards building their own zoo or farm filled with 3D animals.

The students really enjoyed this hands-on activity and they produced some beautiful pieces of work.

Happy World Book Day

On Thursday, the 3/4 students met for the first time in small groups for their Zoom sessions. The students were encouraged to bring their favourite book and dress up as a book character if they could.

It was a roaring success and seeing everyone’s smiling faces really put ‘a spring back in our step’. The student’s also shared what they were enjoying the most whilst learning from home and the common theme across the sessions was spending more quality time as a family  💖 .

Lest We Forget

Towards the end of the week, the 3/4 ‘s had a special focus on ANZAC Day and remembering all of the past and present servicemen and woman who have fought for our country.

The students responded to many different activities which included drawing and painting poppies, baking ANZAC Day cookies, reading about the history of the ANZAC’s and answering questions.
